Albert M. Jones, MD

Dr. Albert Jones has practiced physical medicine and rehabilitation and performed electromyography testing in the Richmond area for over 30 years. Originally from Memphis, TN, Dr. Jones earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and then earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. After completing an internship year at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Dr. Jones then came to Richmond for residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at VCU. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Jones is also a certified Life Care Planner, as designated by the International Commission on Health Care Certification, and a certified Physician Life Care Planner as designated by the Certified Physician Life Care Planner Certification Board.

Dr. Jones’ professional career includes numerous medical directorships, and clinical and hospital appointments at institutions including: 33 years at Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Hospital, the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, and Mississippi Methodist Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Jones was also named a Top Doc by Richmond Magazine for over 20 years.

During his free time, Dr. Jones enjoys walking, sports, traveling, and being with his family.
